After spending two decades working as a wedding videographer in Ireland, returning to Scotland to film my first wedding was a profoundly nostalgic and heartwarming experience. The setting for this special occasion was the stunning Logie Country House, an enchanting venue that perfectly captured the elegance and charm of Caitlin and Jack’s wedding day.

The Venue: Logie Country House

Nestled in the picturesque Aberdeenshire countryside, Logie Country House is a historic estate that exudes timeless beauty. With its elegant interiors, sprawling grounds, and stunning architecture, it provided a perfect backdrop for Caitlin and Jack’s wedding. The venue’s grandeur and serene ambiance allowed for a seamless blend of natural beauty and sophisticated style, making it an ideal location for capturing both the intimate and grand moments of the day.

Collaborating with Talented Professionals

One of the highlights of this wedding was working alongside an incredibly talented team of professionals who ensured that every detail was perfect.

Photography by Donna Murray: Donna’s keen eye for detail and ability to capture raw, emotive moments complemented my videography style beautifully. Her photographs tell a story that resonates with the authenticity I strive to capture in my films.

Styling by Ruffle & Rose: The exquisite styling by Ruffle and Rose added a touch of whimsy and elegance to the day. Their attention to detail and creative vision brought the couple’s dream wedding to life.

Hair by Zoe Gordon: Zoe’s expertise in bridal hair made Caitlin look effortlessly beautiful. Her talent for creating hairstyles that enhance natural beauty was truly impressive.

Makeup by Trisha Cameron: Trisha’s skillful makeup artistry ensured that Caitlin looked radiant throughout the day. Her ability to highlight Caitlin’s features while maintaining a natural look was remarkable.

Music by Sleekit Beasties: The energetic and soulful music by Sleekit Beasties provided the perfect soundtrack for the celebrations. Their live performance kept the atmosphere lively and joyous, adding an extra layer of magic to the day.

Capturing the Essence: My Style of Wedding Videography

As a wedding videographer in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, my approach is rooted in being discrete and natural. I believe the best moments are often those that unfold organically, without intrusion. This philosophy guided my work on Caitlin and Jack’s special day. I focused on capturing candid moments, genuine emotions, and the subtle interactions that make a wedding unique.

From the heartfelt vows exchanged during the ceremony to the joyous laughter shared during the reception, my goal was to create a film that reflects the true essence of Caitlin and Jack’s love story. By blending into the background, I was able to document their day as it naturally unfolded, ensuring that the final video felt authentic and heartfelt.

Reflections on a Memorable Day

It reminded me of the timeless beauty of Scottish weddings and the joy of working with such passionate and talented professionals. Caitlin and Jack’s wedding was a perfect celebration of love, filled with beautiful moments that I was honored to capture.

As I continue my journey as a wedding videographer in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, I look forward to creating more memories and telling more love stories through my lens.
